inter comes and goes in these
parts and we are as likely to see
snow in April as we are in January.
It just won’t stick around as long. As I
write this, winter has been losing its grip
of late. Temps have warmed and the
Chinook Winds are roaring along the
Rocky Mountain Front and out across the
plains. We’ve experienced several bouts
of subzero cold and have recorded well in
excess of 40” of snow so far. Winter fishing
days have been few and far between.
We have passed the winter solstice and
the earth is tilting toward longer days. I’m
seeing the sunrise on the way into work
again. Hopefully the cold snaps will be
less frequent and less severe. The fishing
in February and March can be fantastic.
