a run straight at boat as Keith worked
hard to gobble up the line with tireless
strips. He finally decided to turn once
hit and saw what lay in store for him at
the surface.
Keith finally broke a smile when the fish
hit the end of his line again and said,
“We’re on the reel!” The next punch dealt
by Keith’s new finned friend was a run
under the boat where he breeched—a
rare sight for a Lahotan. With half of
Keith’s rod plunged in the water, each
attack the fish made was countered
masterfully by Keith.
After what seemed like an eternity,
Keith finally brought fish to hand. It was
a 30+” prime specimen. After a quick
celebration it was back to work before
Andy knew we were gone.
If you have the opportunity to head to
Omak Lake, please swing by and say hi
and check out our new lines. This time
of year it’s good to have both a floating
and sinking line spooled up and the
InTouch Rio Deep 6 has been all to rave
around the shop with all of us sporting
it on at least one of our reels.
We look forward to seeing you in the
shop and on the water.
