HOW THIS STRATEGY WORKS
Before we jump into the strategy , this page introduces how the document works . The strategy consists of two parts , each working on a different strategic level .
Part one is providing inspiration for how to get to an operation strategy for the living laboratory , which has transformative character . It starts by widening up the perspective to eventually come closer to a proactive way of working . This process consisting of 7 phases will produce some good assumptions about which mobility solutions might have strong leverage effect to move the static mobility system in the direction of a more sustainable future .
This feeds into part two of this strategy , the A-B-C of experimenting , or in other words : the phase where actual experiments are designed , implemented and developed . The rationale behind this part is to illustrate how the A-B-C can be used as a strong tool . The A-B-C of experimenting includes ;
to Articulate Expectations and Adjust visions , in order to decide on and develop the mobility solutions with the strongest potential leverage effect ,
to Build networks and build the experiments , in order to implement them in a well designed experiment , together with a partnership of pivotal stakeholders and
to Collect learnings , in order to ensure further improvements and the update of the operation strategy .
This A-B-C strategy runs in parallel with the operation strategy of the laboratory ( part one ). While each experiment is navigated through the A , B and C phases , the phases of the operation strategy provide a guiding overview framework , grounding the different experiments and their learnings in the strategic level . Although we distinguish between these two parts , they are also profoundly interwoven . One cannot be separated from the other . Looking only at the first part makes it quite vague , what an experiment should be . Splitting the second part from the first one removes the clear direction and the choice of experiments according to their transformative character .
