August 7
Today, all Seminar groups, (except for
Shvilim) are in Tel Aviv. In Tel Aviv
they are visiting Jaffa and the famous
port from which Jonah the prophet sailed
from in order run away from God, and
where the pioneers of early Israel
arrived in the 19th and early 20th
centuries.
They also toured the first
neighborhoods built outside of
Jaffa,Neve Tzedek, Neve
Shalom and Ahuzat Bayit, the
core of modern Tel Aviv. This
included a visit to
Independence Hall and
Nachalat Binyamim/Shuk
Hacarmel, and free time in
the Azrielli Center, a mall in
the famous Azrieli Towers
(three beautiful towers
designed by the famous
architect, I. M. Pei).
Following the visit to Azrielli,
all groups head for some time
on the Tel Aviv beach, before
heading back to Jerusalem.
