Offline

For the offline promotion of the collaboration I have created an event for which I will present the clothing in a more visual way with models walking around wearing them but in a way "acting" like they were in the decades the clothing is styled from. This event will bring a lot of media attention and will help with online promotion as well because they are the people who are going to write about the collection and so by creating a more visual and interesting presentation of it will be a lot more exciting and interesting to consumers.

I have also come up with the idea of handing out freebees to people attending the Royal Ascot in order to get a different variety of consumer. By handing out simply ties at an event as big as the ascot it brings people together because they would like to know more, especially in Britain nobody ever thinks something free is ever a good thing there always has to be a consequence to it therefor people feel as if they need to know and so ask questions.

Furthermore, I have also created a press release which will be emailed to all those of the press and media informing them of the new collaboration in order for them to expose it and write up articles to get it out there as much as possible.

The press release explains everything there is to know about the collaboration including dates of when it would be out and available for the public to purchase.

I have created tote bags which have the collaboration slogan "EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED" on them which will be handed out around London pre the first week of the release of the collaboration, this is to give that one last surge of interest before the collaboration drops so that people are able to pre-order the pieces they want to get their hands on first. I also drew a outline of Alex Turner's head and made it into a stencil to spray paint over. This would be done around London on the pavement as well as walls and lamppost with Alex Turner's and Paul Smith's names written by it. This is also a way of letting people know and question what it means so that they have to search it up to find out what the collaboration is all about.
