Research
Research is led by the PED in coordination with the American Institutes of Research and the RMC Research Corporation. NMBEST relies on the Institute of Education Science (IES), the Department of Education, and other entities that compile research-based practices under stringent standards that are ultimately evaluated and become recommended practice on NMBEST.
Goal
Our goal is to create an online library of easy-to-use resource that supports teachers, schools, districts, and technical assistance providers the research and tools to implement research-based instructional practice in the classroom.
The New Mexico Public Education Department (PED) strives to implement programs that ensure the success of New Mexico’s children. NMBEST or Bridging Effective practices and Schools Together aims to deliver teaching and administrative practices that have been extensively researched by the American Institutes of Research, What Works Clearinghouse, Institute of Education Sciences, and the Public Education Department. Blending researched practices and what works in the classroom, we have developed an online resource center that breaks down research, technical data, and jargon into an easy to understand, easy to implement format for schools and districts.
