The moment where everything comes together and every unique , odd fold finds its place in the greater whole is beautiful , and it reminds me a lot of how JCL ’ s various chapters ( both local and state ), so diverse in their spirit chants and inside jokes and service projects , come together to be part of the NJCL whole . I hope that you enjoy the origami art I drew throughout this scrapbook . When deciding what to draw , I took inspiration from Heracles . He ’ s known for his brawn , but I think he should be appreciated a little more for how cleverly he used his brain with some of his labors . Cleaning out the Augean stables ’ cow dung took a rerouted river , not brute force ; meanwhile , to fight the Nemean Lion , he had to use the invulnerable lion ’ s own claws against it . See if you can find these animals I ’ ve drawn throughout the scrapbook , and see if you can figure out which labors they ’ re from .
