Left: This year for Lupercalia, Riverside decided to follow tradition and offer a sacrifice to the
gods. Magistra Lido was the master of ceremonies and came prepared for the occasion. She
made sure to dress appropriately and wear her black robe. Magistra even brought her own
sacrificial knife. However, it would not be at the hands of Magistra Lido but at the hands of
several JCLers armed with a baseball bat that the animal would lose its life. We are sure that our
sacrifice was greatly appreciated by the gods.

Top Right: Freshman Alex Hepta and Anna Suppes do push ups and sit ups to help them
memorize certamen information as Novice certamen coach Mr. Walker reads off questions.

Top Left: Walton hosted the Lupercalia Certamen tournament for this year! Officers and
volunteers worked hard to prepare everything for the event, but unfortunately, we got snowed
out (It doesn't snow in Georgia very often, but when it does, it's a BIG deal). These JCLers are
excited to see the flurries coming down!
