In the news 17 $300 million mixed-use project planned at Princeton Junction One of the state’s largest redevelopment projects is expected to move forward in the coming months as master developer AvalonBay Communities prepares to issue a request for proposals from other developers to collaborate on a $300 million mixed-use endeavor on a property adjacent to the Princeton Junction Train Station. The project is expected to include 800 residential units, a 120-room hotel, 37,000 square feet of retail space that would surround a public promenade, and two parking decks. Somerset Station site at Somerville Train Station Photo courtesy of Google Maps Somerset Development purchases 31-acre site for Somerset Station transit village Somerset Development recently acquired a 31-acre property adjacent to the Somerville Train Station on New Jersey Transit’s Raritan Valley Line, where a mixed-use transit village is planned. Somerset Station will be comprised of two apartment buildings totaling 371 units, 156 townhomes, two parking garages, 4,000 square feet of retail space and a community civic center. Construction on the parking garage is set to begin later this summer, with full build-out of the project expected to be completed in 2023.
