Sussex County Local 138 held
its 57th annual Small Fry Fishing
Contest on April 30.
Sussex County Local 138 continues to host the longest running PBA event in the state with the annual Small Fry Trout
Fishing Contest for the 57th year on April 30, which attracted
hundreds of families and Local 138 members for two days of
fishing and family fun.

member John Flanagan. “They know how important it is to the
kids. If we can keep them busy, teaching them about the outdoors, I think it’s a win for everyone.”
On the first day of the event, children of all ages sit around the
Sussex County Community College pond hoping to catch a few
of the 1,000 trout, donated from Thor Labs in Newton, dropped
in the lake for the event.
