Help Us Help New Jersey’s Heroes James Smith was a well-known paramedic and EMS educator in New Jersey for over 30 years. In 2015, James was recuperating at home from an ankle injury he sustained on the job, when he suddenly became ill and passed away. In honor of our friend, father, husband, and son, and in honor of all New Jersey First Responders, we have created a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization - dedicated to raising funds and resources to assist the families of those who have lost a loved one that was a member of any New Jersey emergency service.
