Kinnelon and East Bergen County members attend funeral for fallen Fort Myers officer When Kinnelon Local 341 members heard about the death of Fort Myers Police Department Officer Adam Jobbers-Miller on July 28, they knew that they had to show support for their fallen brother. Jobbers-Miller, who grew up in Wayne, was responding to a report of assault and larceny at a gas station on July 21 when he encountered an armed suspect. The officer was shot in the head and succumbed to his wounds a week later. Local 341 State Delegate Douglas Shortway made the trip to Fort Myers for the funeral, along with East Bergen County Local 45 member Thomas Juliano. These officers traveled the distance to honor this fallen hero. Their presence, in addition to that of the recognizable NJ State PBA Special Services made a state- ment of the strong support that exists among those who walk the thin blue line. d East Bergen County Local 45 member Thomas Juliano (right) and Kinnelon Local 341 State Delegate Douglas Shortway www.njcopsmagazine.com ■ SEPTEMBER 2018 67
