Raritan Township Local 337 puts family first Raritan Township Local 337 held a Cigar Night on Oct. 9 in response to the sudden passing of a former Local 337 member. Mark Taggert was a detective sergeant and well-respected Lo- cal 337 member who served as State Delegate for more than a decade. Taggert retired in 2015, but when Local 337 found out that he had lost a hard-fought battle with cancer on March 21, members wanted to do something to show Taggert’s loved ones that they have a family in law enforcement that will always sup- port them. Local 337 received contributions from ShopRite of Hunter- don County, Marinelli’s Pizza, Cigars International and Grape Expectations to make the Cigar Night a huge success in raising money for the Taggert family. Local 337 hopes that the event showed the Taggert family that they will not be alone while mov- ing forward from this great loss.
