Mainland Local 77 provides great service When law enforcement officers are seen serving members of the community, they’re fulfilling the duty of their job. But when officers are seen serving patrons in a franchise restaurant, it’s a different story. This was the case when customers arrived at the Red Robin in Hamilton Township for a bite to eat and were greeted by Main- land Local 77 officers. On Oct. 21, a group of 15 officers from Egg Harbor, Hamilton, Mullica and Galloway Township police departments participated in an annual Red Robin Tip-A-Cop 66 NEW JERSEY COPS ■ NOVEMBER 2017 event that helps members raise money for the Special Olympics of New Jersey (SONJ) while providing a different type of civil ser- vice. Officers from Local 77 paired up with Special Olympic athletes to greet customers and guide them to tables while explaining the purpose of the Tip-A-Cop event.
