The bikes were set on display at the Pines Manor in Edison, where members were happy to offer their donations to the Foster and Adoptive Family Services charity organization. “Bikes are more of a luxury than a necessity for these kids,” said Hank Werner, who organizes toy drives for the Foster and Adoptive Family Services through the PBA. “It’s a big deal to them.” Each Monmouth County Conference Local purchased one or two bikes to contribute to the large donation that will bring joy to children who are less fortunate. d www.njcopsmagazine.com ■ MAY 2018 79
