Roselle Park Local 27 member sworn in as chief On Feb. 21, a packed audience supported Roselle Park Local 27 member Daniel McCaffery as he was promoted to chief of police for the borough. The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Roselle Park Borough Hall Council Cham- bers, where McCaffery proudly accepted the promotion after 26 years of service to the community in which he grew up. McCaffery takes on this lead- ership role with a long résumé of experience serving in Roselle Park. Over the course of his career, the Local 27 member has served on the Union County Emergency Re- sponse Team, SWAT Team, Com- munity Oriented Policing Unit, Union County Narcotics Strike Force, Auto Theft Task Force and Safe Neighborhoods Task Force. In July 2012, McCaffery was promoted from lieutenant to captain.
