Retired detectives of New York honor Tenafly Local 376 members Two members of Tenafly Local 376 were recognized for their professional- ism on the job by the Retired Detectives Police Department City of New York (RDNY) on June 11. Matthew Savitsky (right) and Tom Casper responded to a traffic stop that went viral when footage showed aggra- vated mother and former Port Authority Commissioner Caren Turner cursing at the officers and demanding unwarrant- ed information. RDNY President Kenneth Heib pre- sented Savitsky and Casper with an award for their response, as well as a cer- tificate and challenge coin to represent the officers’ honorary membership in the organization. The ceremony was held at the Monarch Rooftop Lounge in New York City.
