Retired detectives of New York
honor Tenafly Local 376 members
Two members of Tenafly Local 376
were recognized for their professional-
ism on the job by the Retired Detectives
Police Department City of New York
(RDNY) on June 11.
Matthew Savitsky (right) and Tom
Casper responded to a traffic stop that
went viral when footage showed aggra-
vated mother and former Port Authority
Commissioner Caren Turner cursing at
the officers and demanding unwarrant-
ed information.
RDNY President Kenneth Heib pre-
sented Savitsky and Casper with an
award for their response, as well as a cer-
tificate and challenge coin to represent
the officers’ honorary membership in the
organization. The ceremony was held at
the Monarch Rooftop Lounge in New
York City. NJ State PBA President Pat Col-
ligan and Executive Vice President Marc
Kovar were in attendance to show their
support for the officers’ stellar work. d
