or how great they become, can never be worth presenting to the most Complete and Perfect Being. However, His mercy is something which can give us the eternal success. The question is that then why do we work hard and strive for actions? The answer is that these actions are the source of attracting the mercy of the Most Merciful, and which in result will give us the final abode of Jannah (Paradise). As Ali  said: “A person who thinks he will go into paradise without deeds is misguided and the person who thinks he will go into paradise by doing lots of actions is merely exhausting himself.” (Ayyahul Walad) I wish and pray that we can provide an environment to our students where they are able to attract the mercy of Allah by not only beautifying their outer worship and physical actions, but they can also adorn their hearts. As the Prophet  said: “Allah  does not look at your faces and bodies but He looks at your hearts.” (Sahih Muslim) I wish to have those students who do the outward actions for Allah  and the inward also for Allah  , this can only be attained once we have sincere intentions of being here and gaining this knowledge. Our sincere actions are our luggage for the next world, and we must get ready for this travel. The Prophet  said in one of the narrations: “Do not sleep too much at night, because the one who sleeps too much at night will be empty handed on the Day of judgement.” (Sunan Ibn Majah) So, we must join hands and strive to gain more and more actions which are full of sincere intentions; actions of the outward knowledge and actions of the inward. Once we are able to acquire these actions in our life, then we must also make a lot of istighfar (seek forgiveness) from Allah ; because as I mentioned before, these actions will never be worth presenting to the Perfect Being. Allah  says in Quran: ُ ْ َ ْ َ ْ ُ َ ْ َ‫أ‬ ْ ‫ون‬ ‫ر‬ ‫ف‬ ِ ‫غ‬ ‫ت‬ ‫س‬ ‫ي‬ ‫ه‬ ‫ار‬ ِ ‫س‬ ‫ل‬ ‫ب‬ ِ ‫و‬ “And those at the time before dawn, seek Allah’s forgiveness.” (51:18) May Allah  make us the true slaves and students of His beautiful deen and make us live and act this deen and make us the role models for all. Ameen. 11 NISBAH
