TA: Had you seen Sean Young in Blade Runner?

LAC: Oh yeah, of course. I was a huge fan of Sean Young. Andrew, our producer had known her for awhile. When he and I did, Rising Stars, he had talked about her, and I said, "You do not know Sean Young!" He said, "Yeah, she's on my phone." So, there had been this running joke that she would play my mother someday. Around New Year's, Sean left me a voicemail on my old phone and I saved it and I would listen to it all the time. Then I found out there was an offer out to her and she accepted to play the part of my mother in Jug Face. I was stoked! But you know, more than Blade Runner, as great as it was, I just loved her in the film, "Fatal Instinct."

TA: Oh yes, Carl Reiner!

LAC: Exactly, with Sherilyn Fenn, and I was actually a big fan of that movie. I rented it more than Blade Runner. I just love the scene of her and skunk on the roller-coaster. And I mentioned it to her, thinking, I'm probably putting my foot in my mouth about this one, telling her how much I loved it, and she laughed, and she said, "I'm so glad, I love comedy." And she asked me what do you like? I told her, I love comedy too, as I'm a ham for getting a laugh.

TA: So by time you got to work with Sean Young on the film, you weren't intimidated by her?

LAC: Well of course I was! (laughs) But you know, from the very moment she was on set, she was so warm, and made you feel comfortable throughout the entire production. She was very careful with me on the bathroom scenes, making sure I was comfortable and very concerned for me due to the subject matter. But she was amazing to everyone, definatley the mommy on the set.

TA: Jug Face, shot completely on location?

LAC: Yes, all in Tennessee.

TA: And how was that?

LAC: So, we get there and Tennesee is just gorgeous, but the thing we didn't know that in April, it's rainy there, and it was pretty cold. So, when we had the evening shoot for the party scene, it was freezing! None of us had brought jackets, because we all thought, you know—Tennessee. Michael David Bevins, the head of the wardrobe dept, he had to run out in the middle of the

night and go get sweaters and things for people to wear, because nobody knew. And of course later on when we're shooting in the trailer during the day (making it appear to be night) and in our sweaters, and we're just dying because its 80 degrees in the daytime. But it was just a gorgeous place.... and then.... there were the ticks.
