Neighborhood Groups and the
NICE Program
Back in 2017 when the NICE Program was established , the City conducted a neighborhood planning exercise and then , a neighborhood naming campaign . As the Program celebrates its fifth anniversary , we focus on growing those initial incentives and how neighborhoods meet and organize . The newest version of our Neighborhood Map is called “ Neighborhood Groups .” The NICE Program is currently facilitating eight bi-annual meetings for groups or cohorts of neighborhoods that don ’ t meet in any other way . Currently , 27 out of 35 neighborhoods are included in NICE meetings .
The Program focuses on helping to develop groups in these 27 neighborhoods . This Neighborhood Guide can help learn about ways to develop a neighborhood group .
If you live in an area that is part of a private association or an already existing neighborhood group you can invite staff to work with your group . More information and interactive maps are on our website .
