Student Leadership Forum (Wananga Rangatahi)
Last year our leadership forum travelled to Albany Senior
High School, Auckland. The purpose of our visit was to meet and
interact with students from suburban backgrounds, to view a new
concept in schooling, and to learn to appreciate our differences.
On Tuesday, 05 April 2011, we returned the gesture by
hosting this year’s interschool leadership forum. The schools that
attended were Albany Senior High, Te Awamutu College and
Otorohanga College. Our day started with a Powhiri with students
doing the karanga and whaikorero, visitors and host school alike.
Following morning tea the student leaders from all four
schools gathered in the Wharenui for the Leaders Forum (Wananga
