Farewells
This year we farewelled Naznin Basha who has worked
in our Mathematics department. Naznin has been with us
since January 2006. We wish Naznin well in her future
endeavours.
We also farewelled exchange student Inez Coonen as
she prepared to embark on her journey home to Holland.
Inez had been with us for 12 months and she has become an
integral part of our Ngaruawahia High School Whanau.

Inez was a very genuine person who took up the
challenge to become a real part of the school. She worked
and related well to both the 2010 and 2011 Year 13 cohorts.
The senior students on behalf of the school presented
her with a taonga (a greenstone heart lightly carved) to
demonstrate the special person she is.
We enjoyed watching her play netball for one of our
senior teams even though she had never played before. She
told us netball is not played in Holland but she wanted to do
something ‘Kiwi’ while she was here.
