The Matariki Festival concluded with a fantastic
extravaganza of talent in the form of a combined
Ngaruawahia High School and Bernard Fergusson
Matariki Concert. Whanau, rangatahi, and tamariki all
combined to attend practises in the weeks leading up
to the event.
A large number of acts were lined up to

showcase our local talent of past and present
students and staff of NHS and BF. Each act worked in
to tell the story of “The Migration from Hawaiki”.
The costumes, stage props, lighting and
technical sound equipment all significantly enhanced
the show.
