Conversation was mainly about catching up
with the happenings in Salt Lake City and lots of
photographs of sleeping pupils and staff.
The bus was comfortable, well heated,
toileted and had blinds and lent itself to sleeping.
Once on the road, and all others asleep, the

driver as ked Sandy MacDonald if he was from
Australia as he had a different complexion from
all the others in the group! That prompted a
history/geography lesson for the next half hour!
The driver set the bus on automatic throttle
and cruised at a steady 110 kph with his feet up

South of Provo. Northbound and Southbound traffic had their own carriageways to eliminate head-on collisions..
