Advantage was taken of activities provided
for the group individually, such as snowmobiling, skiing and watching any one of the
300+ television channels available.
Some of the pupils headed with their
families up into the hills to sites where the 2002
Winter Olympics will be held and enjoyed the
snow activities and stay overnight.
Isaac Royal and others could not understand
why they could not go snow-mobiling on Sunday!
Well, guys, you were in Utah and Sunday is the
sabbath!
The Sunday n ewspaper is delivered in a
plastic bag to keep it all together. There were so
many sections that it would take about 8-10 of our
regular NZ daily papers to equal one edition!

Sandy MacDonald was
taken out for the evening by
the Richard’s family. Sandy
knew Doug when he was in
Huntly in 1966. He was taken
for a ride up both the
Cottonwood Canyon and the
Little Cottonwood Canyon.
The trip up the second canyon
was made more exciting by the
snowstorm in the failing light!
Richard Crawford had an
exciting late-night time trying
to unblock the toilet in his
friend Mark’s home with the
whole episode caught on video
camera!
Summer sales are on all
over the place with the winter
items going at a greatly
reduced rate.
The largest suburb of Salt Lake is called Sandy.
