After the final thank-you speeches following the performance, members of the host families (The All Blacks) responded
with their own haka in appreciation of the programme by the tourists.

A large number of contacts were made even
in this early stage of the trip between the group
members and ‘locals’.
After the performance the clocks were
moved ahead one hour and the time became
exactly 18 hours behind New Zealand clocks.
The group now had their third late night in a
row and had the luxury of looking forward to a
sleep-in again on Sunday if they wished it.
Whenever the party assembled for concerts
there was the frantic swapping of information as
they compared ‘families’ and situations of the
previous 24 hours; especially of the ‘fantastic’
houses and families they were with and the things
they had been doing with their newly-found
friends.
