Child Nutrition
Good nutrition is an essential part of a good education. Anoka-Hennepin’ s Child Nutrition Program( CNP) follows current USDA guidelines. Our mission is to prepare nutritious meals that meet or exceed those guidelines and to create a safe and positive environment for our guests to enjoy their meals.

Lactose reduced or soy milk is available to students with a written request from a parent or guardian. This request must be given to the school cafeteria supervisor.
All other modifications require a completed diet modification request form signed by a licensed Doctor of Medicine( M. D.), Clinical Nurse Practitioner, Osteopathic Dr.( D. O.) or Physicians Assistant( P. A. C.), and a parent or guardian. The form can be found at ahschools. us / dietform. Fax the completed form to the CNP office at 763-506-1253 or mail it to 2727 N. Ferry St., Anoka, MN 55303. Requests may take up to 10 days to be accommodated.
Paying for meals
NEW! All students now will use their student ID number to access their meal account in the cafeterias.
There is no fee to make meal account payments online. You can set up automatic payments based on a set balance, sign up for email alerts and see what your child eats every day. Please allow 24 hours for online payments to reach the meal account. Log in to A-HConnect and click on School Meal Account.
Checks and cash can be sent to the school for payment as well. Please note the student’ s name and ID number on the check to ensure the funds are deposited to the proper account.
Applying for free or reduced meals
Applying online is easy! Go to ahschools. us / freereduced, set up an account and complete the application. It will take about five minutes. After your application is processed, CNP will mail you a letter indicating if it was approved or denied. If denied, you will be paying full price and will need to have money in the students’ accounts to purchase meals.
Each school year, the State of Minnesota sends the district information, indicating if a student is approved for free meals. If you did not receive a letter stating that your student was automatically approved for free meals you will need to fill out an application.
Regardless of your past eligibility a new application needs to be completed each school year.
Visit our website at ahschools. us / cnp for more information.
We look forward to serving nutritious meals to the students of Anoka-Hennepin schools.
