Sports Hall Athletics
We are very proud to report that we have again retained our County Indoor Athletics Championship Title. This is a very prestigious event indeed as the final was contested by the schools who had previously won their own regional competitions.
The children in the team deserve a great deal of credit for the dedication they have shown in practice and for the competitive nature they displayed on the day. Retaining the title for the 5th year in a row is a truly impressive feat!
We, as an academy, are constantly striving to promote a competitive element which shows humility in success and dignity in losing. We want the children to try their hardest and be good winners and good losers.
Paris Update
Can all parents of pupils travelling to Paris please be aware that the spending money of £45 is now due. This can be paid either by Agora or by handing in £45 GBP at the office.
During the visit, the children’s money will be kept by staff and distributed to them in small amounts. All money that is unspent at the end of the trip will be refunded to parents.
Joining the PTA
We are very fortunate at St John’s to continue to have a very committed and successful PTA Group. However, the PTA are always keen to welcome new members to the group who wish to get involved. If you would like to find out more, please come along to the next meeting of the PTA on Monday 8th April at 7pm, at the school office.
