Hello & Welcome
Can I take this opportunity to thank everyone for the very warm welcome that I have received upon joining St John’s Primary Academy. I feel very privileged to take on the position of Head of School this year and to be part of such a successful, child-centred academy.
I would also like to welcome all of you to the new academic year, especially those of you who are new to the St John’s family like myself. We so value the contributions and the support of our parents and members of the community in helping us to ensure that our academy is successful and that our children continue to get the very best education possible.
Please know that our door is always open and we encourage you to contact us with any concerns which you may have. In the event of you needing to contact us directly, please don’t hesitate to email office@stjohnsprimary.academy or Rebecca.willington@stjohnsprimary.academy. As always we will endeavour to answer any questions you may have and to work together with you in an effective partnership.
We aim to keep you as informed as possible through our website stjohns-eagle.com and via our twitter feed @stjohns_eagle or our Facebook page.
Mrs R Willington
A free school meal for all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 is again available this year under the government initiative. For children in Year 3 and above the price of a meal remains £2 per day. We believe this is still the cheapest school meal in the area and represents fantastic value.
Payment for meals can be made on line using the Agora system. If any parents wish to discuss eligibility for free school meals, Alex James-Walker (our Family Liaison Officer) can be reached by email: Alex.James-Walker@stjohnsprimary.academy.
All pupils in Year 1 to Year 6 will be taking part in a poetry focus week during the first week in October and to further inspire their creative writing we will be having a special, themed lunch on Thursday 4th October, a ‘Wonderland of Words!’ The menu for this day will be available next week.
