PARIS TRIP 2018

Next week several members of staff will be accompanying a Year 6 visit of 60 pupils to Paris.

During the week the following changes to class teaching responsibilities will apply.

RJC : Mrs Cotterill’s class will be covered by Mrs McMahon

Remaining Year 6 pupils will be taught by Mrs Rowe and Mrs Ardin in a combined Year 6 class.

The children in the group are all looking forward to this exciting visit and we hope they have a wonderful and memorable time.

The party will also be accompanied by Mrs James-Walker, Mrs Taylor our Year 6 Learning Assistant and Mr. Ayres.

We are very proud to report that we have retained our County Indoor Athletics Championship last week in Stoke. This is a very prestigious event as the final was contested by schools who had won their regional competitions.

Well over 100 schools had entered the initial stages of the competition and we are delighted to have again become champions.

The children in the team deserve a lot of credit for the dedication they have shown in practice and the competitive nature they displayed.

We as an academy are constantly striving to promote a competitive element which shows humility in success and dignity when losing. Put simply we want the children to try their hardest and be good winners and good losers.

cashless systems

We would like to remind parents that the academy is now operating an almost completely cashless system. Payments for expenditure will now only be accepted using one of the following methods:

1. A Debit or Credit Card payment via the online Agora system www.simsagora.co.uk

2. By cash at the Post Office or PayPoint outlets using the barcodes that have been sent home.

Please note that cash for small cost items like book bags, break sales and water bottles will still be accepted.
