We are pleased to bring to your attention a Macmillan Coffee Morning being held in the village next weekend. This worthwhile
event is to celebrate the excellent
work of Macmillan and to raise funds for the fight against cancer.
Details are as follows:
Last week 58 Year pupils attended a 3 day course at a new Wilderness academy in the north of Staffordshire. The challenging course involved sleeping under canvas in a remote rural area and completing a variety of outdoor tasks.
The pupils were impressive in dealing with these demands and we noted that for the vast majority it was enjoyable and character building.
Hopefully we will be able to offer this or similar opportunities to our final year pupils in the future.

Eagles Staffing
This week Louise Love has left her post in the Eagles after school facility. Louise has been with us for many years and is well known by the large number of pupils, past and present, who have attended Eagles. I would like to place on record our appreciation of her service and wish her well in the future.
Eagles is an important part of our academy and the staff in the breakfast and after school clubs work hard to give the children a happy start and end to the day. It remains a very popular service with parents and Louise has been there as it has grown and developed.
