We would like to welcome Natasha Miller to our Administrative Team working in our main Reception. Natasha is an apprentice and joined us just after half term. I am sure she will prove to be a very valuable addition to our team.

Prior to half term we were sorry to say goodbye to Vicky Woodberry who had worked successfully in the Main Reception for several months. We would like to place on record our thanks for her hard work and commitment and wish her well in her new ventures.

Inset Day

It was good to see the Church full with parents and grandparents. Over the three services 430 children participated and they all performed well and hopefully benefited from the experience. I am sure you can appreciate what a difficult task it is to co-ordinate so many pupils walking to the church safely, making sure they all have suitable space in the Church and that the services run on time.

It had also proved difficult to arrange a time convenient time for both St. John’s Church and ourselves given the busy timetables we both have but I am pleased that we were able to proceed this year and would like to thank Reverend Wendy and her team for their hospitality.

The separate service held here in the academy for our 86 Year 6 pupils was also very successful with the pupils demonstrating a good understanding of the more difficult issues around Harvest. The pupils discussed the vast differences between parts of the globe where food can be scarce or plentiful and the implications for people in the future.

A reminder that Friday 17th November is an Inset day and school is closed to pupils.
