I would like to notify you of our latest staff baby to arrive on the scene. Kayley Dayman, who many of you will know from her work in Eagles, recently gave birth to her first child.
Both Kayley and her son, Ethan, are both doing extremely well and we all offer her our congratulations and best wishes.
As winter approaches we would like to outline our procedures that will be employed in the event of snow. Obviously any snow fall does present difficulties in maintaining safe use of our site and there is a possibility that a decision will have to be taken to close our academy.
Every attempt will be made to remain open but where this is not possible parents will be informed when a closure is about to take place. This information will be posted by 7.45 am on the day in question and will be displayed on our website, Twitter and Facebook accounts.
It is important to note that given the time it takes to clear the site following a heavy snowfall there may be occasions when we have to close our Breakfast Club but are able to keep the Academy open during normal hours.
Our first priority will always be to clear the main pedestrian entrances and pathways. However please note that the academy car parks will not be cleared and will not be open to parents dropping off children at Eagles.
Every effort will be made to keep the academy open but pupil, parent and employee safety is of paramount importance as I am sure you can appreciate. I would therefore like to ask for your support and understanding in adverse weather conditions. We will of course respect the decision of any parent who decides that their journey to St. John’s would be too hazardous and keeps their child at home.
Book Fair
Our annual book fair is being held during the week beginning Monday 13th November
All pupils have the opportunity to purchase any books when they are placed on sale at the end of the day in the Dining Hall. Alternatively, parents can use the form on the information leaflets which will be distributed to each child. Completed order forms can be handed in to the main Reception or to their class teacher with the correct payment..
