Asthma
We would like to ensure that all our medical records are accurate and up to date and therefore to ask parents of asthma sufferers to complete a special form.
These asthma forms are available on the website (under the parents tab) for you to download or alternatively you can collect a form from the main reception.
Data Sheets
Your child will have been given a print out of the contact details and other data that we currently hold on our system. It is of course important that this information is accurate and we therefore ask you to check these details carefully and make any necessary changes.
We would ask that all sheets are returned even if there no changes to be made.

Holiday Forms
This year we have introduced a standard absence request form for parents to complete. As I am sure you are aware Headteachers are unable to authorise absences unless there are exceptional circumstances. The guidance provided by the Department for Education makes it clear that there are very few occasions that should be considered as exceptional.
The forms can be collected from the main reception or submitted via our website under the parents’ section heading. We would like to ask that all known absences are requested in this way so that accurate records can be kept. Our overall attendance score has increased in recent years and this is a feature that we would like to maintain given that there is a clear link between pupil progress and the amount of time they attend school.
Clubs
The wide range of after school clubs will start next week. As usual the clubs focus on providing opportunities for our older pupils in Year 5 and 6 who tend to have the maturity to organise themselves to attend.
There are a limited number of activities for younger children but often these are offered termly or half termly to accommodate the number who want to attend in a fair manner. If the designated class or year group do not fill the allocated places these will be offered to other children over the weeks ahead.
