Be ready for the weather
Whilst the lighter mornings are gradually making a welcome return, the weather remains changeable and is often cold or wet.
Please can parents ensure that their children have warm coats, scarves, hats and gloves where necessary. Also, please ensure that all clothing is named so that any mislaid items can be returned. Thank you for your help with this.
We have been contacted this week by one of the GPs from Essington Medical Centre whose patients and doctors are regularly facing difficulty when trying to park outside and in the car park spaces surrounding the surgery.
These spaces are for patients only and should not be used by parents picking up or dropping off children to the Academy. There are a number of parking spaces at the back of the Community Centre for drivers who are using the services on site such as the Tea Rooms and Pharmacy, which parents could use.
We would therefore ask parents to be considerate when choosing where to park, ensuring that pedestrians also have a clear path to walk safely.

School Crossing patrol
We are pleased to inform you that Staffordshire County Council have successfully recruited a new, permanent School Crossing Patrol for the vacant position on Brownshore Lane, Mrs Carolyn Cartwright. We are confident she will settle in well and provide an excellent service to the community.
