2 HINTERLAND BOWLS CARNIVAL More teams are still needed to ensure a full green for this day. PLUM PUDDING DAY Members who have made plum puddings this year are requested to start bringing their puddings in this to the clubhouse. Wrapping of puddings will start after bowls on Tuesday 12th and setup and finish will be on Wednesday 13th. Sue Fallon tries her hand at putting a bowl down at the recent Open Day at Maleny Grove. The equipment, which was supplied by Bowls Queensland, was setup and manned by Maleny Bowls Club members. HIGHLIGHTS OF THE OCTOBER BOARD MEETING • • • • • • Only five members have volunteered to do their RSA training and be bar volunteers. This is insufficient as ideally 10 volunteers would mean each working only once a fortnight. Members are asked to consider volunteering. A sign will be erected at the corner of our easement and the footpath fronting Bunya Street. Posters have been placed at the Showground advising visiting campers of the club. Another special general meeting will be held in November to inform members of the neral results of the ballot and to decide on the future direction of the club. The membership fee for a full member in 2014 has been set at $95. A Christmas party will be held at the club this year. Caterers have been booked. Support our SPONSORS because they support our club “Maleny Grove…a Live Life Village”. Top of the Range Meats. Sukhothai Restaurant. Watson’s Garage. Each of these businesses donates to the member’s draw every Friday evening. Members have the chance of winning cash, meat or a meal – but you must be present if your number is drawn out! 6.00 pm [email protected] 8 Bunya Street, Maleny, 4552 Phone 5494 2335 www.malenybowlsclub.com.au
