Anoka-Hennepin Schools has partnered with GoFan for mobile ticketing for athletic events at all five high schools ( Andover , Anoka , Blaine , Champlin Park and Coon Rapids ).
Fans can purchase tickets online through their respective school ’ s GoFan page , the GoFan App or by presenting a card or mobile payment option at the ticket gate .
The new ticketing partner allows schools and visitors a more efficient , professional experience . Buying tickets online allows fans to access and share tickets easily by email or text without standing in line .

The banner receiving first place recognition was created in collaboration with student artists Ava Hartfiel , Gillian McConville and Jordyn Strei . A second place banner was designed in partnership by Madoka Johnson and Cobi Larson ; while Ellie Yang ’ s banner took third place in the contest .
Last spring , students at Dayton Elementary School were invited to participate in an art project in collaboration with the City of Dayton . Fifth grade students worked on redesigning banners displayed on street light posts on Balsam Lane connecting S . Diamond Lake Road and River Road .
Dayton art teacher Vanessa Andrews created a lesson plan on the history of Dayton and wanted to see the city through her students ’ eyes . She asked her students to design a light post banner on what they thought represented the city after viewing images of parks , neighborhoods , and a brief history of Dayton .

Dayton Elementary students brighten city streets with artwork
On May 22 , the City of Dayton hosted an open house at the public works building allowing families to explore city equipment , big trucks and visit with employees to learn more about the public works system . Families participated in games with prizes and enjoyed a hot dog dinner .
At the event , artwork created by Dayton fifth grade students was on display and attendees voted on a design to be the cover of a future Dayton newsletter . Three posters were chosen by the City of Dayton to be displayed on streetlight posts . n
Community members are welcome to attend school athletics and events . Ticket prices are $ 10 for adults and $ 5 for students . Community members ages 60 and up may attend events at no charge .
Boys ’ Volleyball added as a sanctioned high school league co-curricular activity
All five traditional Anoka- Hennepin high schools ( Andover , Anoka , Blaine , Champlin Park and Coon Rapids ) will now offer boys volleyball as a sanctioned Minnesota State High School League ( MSHSL ) co-curricular activity . The School Board approved the recommendation on a
unanimous vote at the regular meeting on Aug . 26 .
Each school program will support a varsity and junior varsity team with a cap of 32 athletes per school . The season will officially get underway with practices starting Mar . 17 , 2025 .
The MSHSL officially approved boys ’ volleyball as a sanctioned
sport in May , making Minnesota the 25th state to offer it as a co-curricular activity .
Andover and Blaine high schools will compete in Section 7A while Anoka , Champlin Park and Coon Rapids high schools will compete in Section 8A . n
