TÜBİTAK 1501 Industrial R&D Projects Grant Program The 1501 Program aims to increase research‐technology development capability, innovation culture and competitiveness of companies established in Turkey. The program supports projects aiming to produce new products, to raise the quality and standard of a product, to develop new techniques, to reduce the cost and to develop new production technology. • Eligible applicants project program are the companies established in Turkey. Universities can take part in projects as R&D provider by proposing their budget under “consulting” budget item secured by a contract. • Maximum project duration is 36 months. • There is no budget limit. The grant ratio provided by this program can be minimum 40 % and max. 60 % of a project’s budget. TÜBİTAK 1507 SME Research, Development & Innovation Grant Program The 1507 Program supports the top five in the evaluation by firms in SME scale and follows the same aim with the 1501 program. • Eligible applicants for the program are the SMEs established in Turkey. Universities can take part in projects as R&D provider by proposing their budget under the “consulting” budget item secured by a contract. • SMEs can apply for maximum 5 projects (at least 2 of them should be with partners) • Maximum project duration is 18 months. • Maximum budget amount should not exceed 500.000TL. The grant ratio provided by this program can be up to 75 % of a project’s budget. • There is no application deadline. TÜBİTAK 1509 International Industrial R&D Projects Grant Program TÜBİTAK 1503 R&D Project Brokerage Events Grant Program The targetsof the program are to create market focused R&D projects between European countries and increase cooperation between Europe‐wide firms, universities and research institutions, by using cooperation webs such as EUREKA, EUROSTARS. The aim of the program is to stimulate collaboration between universities, research institutions and private companies. • Eligible applicants for the program are the companies established in Turkey. Universities can take part in projects as R&D provider secured by a consulting contract. • Two stage proposal submission is applied. In first stage, Eureka Project Application Form should be filled and signed by each partner. At least two partners from EUREKA Member Countries are sought for an eligible consortium. Signed and completed form is to be returned each partner’s national Office (For Turkey, TÜBİTAK). In second stage, leading company in Turkey applies to the 1509 International Industrial R&D Projects Grant Program. Upon the completion of the evaluation reports the relevant technology group committee discusses the project proposal to give the final decision of acceptance or rejection. • There is no budget limit. The grant ratio provided by this program can be up to 75 % of a project’s budget for SMEs, 60 % for big companies. • There is no application deadline and limitation for the project duration. • At least one of the following institutions, chamber of industry, chamber of commerce, chamber of industry & commerce, and exporters union with an university partner are eligible to apply for this program. • The amount of support is maximum 20.000 TL for events with national participation, 25.000 TL for events international with international participation. • There is no application deadline. The application is to be done at least 2 months before the event.
