In April 2017 , Park Center Health and Fitness ( PCHF ) launched GroupExPro ( GXP ), an online platform for group fitness scheduling and communication . The primary goal was to enhance information accessibility for fitness enthusiasts and streamline internal processes . The first phase introduced an online schedule on the Glenview Park District website , allowing users to easily search for classes and view instructor details . Responding to member feedback , Phase 2 included the launch of iOS and Android apps , supported by a comprehensive marketing campaign , leading to 810 active downloads from a total of 1,272 participants . ▪
2022 FITNESS ON THE GO
In October 2021 , Park Center Health and Fitness launched their new , virtual group fitness platform — Fitness on the Go . Hosted through Vimeo as a monthly subscription-based channel , Fitness on the Go features over 70 different videos for users to follow along to from anywhere . Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic , many people transitioned to virtual fitness options in order to stay safe at home . As the fitness team analyzed market trends and changes throughout the country , it became clear that offering a virtual fitness product as part of membership was becoming a standard way for fitness centers to keep members engaged and active .
2021 FEEDING GLENVIEW
In March 2020 , in response to the COVID-19 pandemic , Historic Wagner Farm launched the “ Feeding Glenview Initiative ” to repurpose the farm into a production-based facility providing food for local families . Despite limited staff and resources , the farm produced enough food to support 50 families per week , partnering with local organizations to maximize efficiency . Over eight months , the farm contributed to feeding the community and provided a sense of purpose and connection during a challenging time , ultimately impacting over 20,000 residents and gaining widespread recognition . This program continues today .
SWIMMING LESSON 2020 TRACKING AND
TARGET MARKETING
The aquatics department implemented a new system to streamline swim lesson progress reporting and marketing . By using a “ stage tracker ” and customized reports , staff efficiently track swimmers ’ progress , inform parents of their child ’ s skills , and suggest appropriate next steps for lessons . This approach led to increased swim lesson enrollment , reduced direct and indirect costs , and improved customer service .
2019 MOBILE CHICKEN COOP
Historic Wagner Farm staff designed , created and implemented a Mobile Chicken Coop . Responding to increased demand for farm fresh eggs , the team designed a sustainable and educational solution that enhances farm revenue . The coop , built on an unused hay rack with features that allow for efficient manure fertilization and easy mobility , has enabled increased egg production and sales , generating over $ 5,000 in the first year . Their project not only supports sustainability but also engages volunteers in agricultural education , making a lasting impact on The Farm .
