ESDAI celebrates Spain’s Day in Mexico
On Monday October 21st 2016, ESDAI students currently enrolled in Oenology and Dining Service classes had the
opportunity to attend various seminars, conferences, and workshops that enriched their knowledge about the
use of traditional Spanish ingredients.
A wine seminar and tasting with six different wines was held during the day. Additionally, an olive oil workshop was organized.
The workshop allowed students to taste five different olive oils selected among a special range of oils. In parallel, the Master Cutter
Edgar Sanchez offered students the opportunity to practice cutting Serrano ham and tasted the product. On his side, Chef Pablo
San Roman did a cooking demonstration and presented a series of tapas based on the book "Don Quixote" which was celebrating
its 400th anniversary. During the closing ceremony, Marcela González Garza Ducoing welcomed the interest of the embassy and
Commercial Counselor of the Embassy of Spain. Nieves Diaz recognized the excellence of the Gastronomy Academy and the
hospitality of ESDAI.
