A series of successful events in ITE Singapore

SINGAPORE WINS CULINARY OLYMPICS HELD IN GERMANY ERFURT Last October 2016, the Singapore National Team took part in the Culinary Olympics held in Erfurt( Germany), and won 2 gold medals to make them the overall Champion for the Culinary Oylmpics. Alumni student Cicone Ng from the 2011 batch of students from the Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management Bachelor Diploma program was one of the apprentice who assisted in the pastry competition which won one of the gold medals.
HONG KONG NIGHT IN SINGAPORE COOK-OFF BY THE HONG KONK VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTRE TEAM IN ITE
On November 23 rd 2016, the team of Chefs and students from the Hong Kong Vocational Training Centre arrive in ITE Singapore for a cook-off, celebrating their Hong Kong Cuisine with the theme of‘ East Meets West’. The ITE students also assisted in the cooking to serve over 50 guests from the Industry as well as the ITE-HK VTC Board.
VISIT OF THE PRIME MINISTER OF BHUTAN
The Prime Minister of Bhutan, Tshering Tobgay visited ITE College West on November 28 th 2016. The Technical Diploma students was undergoing their Product Chain class, having a session on“ Raclette” Cheese. They offered the cheese to the Prime Minister who enjoyed the cheese and even tried melting it. Chef Christophe L’ Hospitalier from Institut Paul Bocuse( France) was also present at the session.
SINGAPORE JUNIOR NATIONAL TEAM WINS OVERALL CHAMPION!
The Singapore Junior National Team worked hard to be crowned the Overall Champion at the Alen Thong Golden Coffee Pot Young Chefs Challenge at SIAL 2016, Abu Dhabi in December 2016. Our TED Sherine Lim and Sebastian Wong were part of the Singapore team in the competition.
