Sasha Sikorska | Ukraine
Sasha was born in Berdychiv, a small town in Ukraine. She has got
her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in finance but never felt like
working in this sphere. Her passion in life is to explore the world.
By now, she has been to more than 50 countries. This is her second
year working as an International Tutor at EdUHK.
01 Before Sasha went on exchange in
high school to Texas, USA, she had
never been abroad. That was the re-
ality for many in the early 2000s in
post-Soviet Ukraine.

02 In her secondary school, Sasha used
to model and had even participated
in a few teenage fashion shows.
03 Sasha moved from her hometown to
the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, for her
university studies when she was 17.

04 During her university years, Sasha
did a lot of hitchhiking. In four years,
she had hitchhiked approximately
250,000 km through Europe and the
United States.
05 Sasha was an activist during the
Ukrainian Revolution in 2013-2014;
she even quit her job for that period
of time.

06 The first city she had ever visited in
Asia was Hong Kong, when she came
to EdUHK to work.
07 Sasha has changed her attitude to-
wards Hong Kong from almost hating
the place to being so comfortable here
that she is planning to stay longer.
08 Her favourite thing to do in her lei-
sure time is hiking.
