Being put in a room filled with people who aspire to be happy and as carefree as you at that very moment of time can be pretty overwhelming, to say the least. At times I feel lightheaded at a show as it tends to hit me at one go. However, I kind of hate it and kind of love it at the same.
So, what does drive me towards this feeling then? I guess it’s the feeling of adrenaline and euphoria rushing through my body when they begin playing the next song. I remember thinking to myself at that very moment that this is beyond happiness. You see, what live music does to certain people is it drowns all their sorrows for just an hour or two and puts you in a state of mind in which tells you that you are here for a reason. “Thank you for coming, Malaysia. Every single one of you” I felt a smile creep up onto my lips.
Along with the immense anxiety comes the best night of your life when stepping into the venue and you should not let your mind ruin it for you! I would suggest going to live shows with someone as company but would you want to create such a beautiful memory with someone who may or may not walk out of your life and not mean anything to you in a few years.
There's nothing better than living in the now with people who gave you a purpose to do so!
