The Hunger Games- Suzanne Collins
In a dark vision of near future, twelve young boys and twelve girls are forced to appear on a live TV show called The Hunger Games. There is only one rule: kill or be killed.
When sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen steps forward to take her sister’s place in the games, she sees it as a death sentence. But Katniss has been close to death before. For her, survival is second nature.
You either love it, or hate it. There’s no in between with this book. It is very suitable for boys and girls, with many cliff-hangers on every chapter which will make you want to read on. If you’re a person who isn’t a fan of gruesome stories though, this one is not for you. I enjoyed reading this book so much, I couldn’t stop reading on!
Just relax on your sofa with a cuppa and let the book take you to another world! If you finish the book and feel like you need time away from words, just watch the film! Just as thrilling and you could watch it with your whole family! You definitely won’t forget it!
The fault in our stars- John Green
Despite the tumour-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel’s story is about to be completely rewritten.
Expect to laugh, cry and smile throughout this masterpiece is simply all I can say. As I read through each page, there was a different emotion each time. This book is real, heart-wrenching and so well written you just got to read it! The first time I heard about this book, I didn’t think I’d be that interested in it, but after hearing my friends’ opinions, I decided to read it. Three words describe what I thought after reading it, best book ever.
