The department has conducted two Live Surgical Workshops, one on orthognathic surgery and the other on microvascular surgery at Basaweshwar Teaching and General Hospital. The workshops were attended by Post Graduate students and the faculty members of various institutions and was a grand success.
Fellowships for our students
The department post graduate students have got fellowships through competitive exams.
1) Dr.Shilpa Gubbi : Fellowship in Oral Oncology – Rajiv Gandhi University of health Sciences
2) Dr. Nandini Vijay – Fellowship in Facial Aesthetic Surgery -- Rajiv Gandhi University of health Sciences
3) Dr.Afreen Aaftab – Fellowship in Craniofacial and Esthetic Surgery by Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons of India.
She has scored 1st rank in all India Fellowship exams in Trauma and Orthognathic surgery conducted by Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons of India.
She also has been awarded “Dudani”or 2nd best paper in PG convention at Thrissur.
4) Dr.Ashwini Munnagi – Fellowship in Oncology -- Rajiv Gandhi University of health Sciences
