OUR RESPONSE TO
Coronavirus COVID-19 Public Health Advice
KWETB ’ s response to the COVID-19 outbreak has primarily been motivated by the organisations duty of care to its learners and staff , while observing best practice and abiding by HSE guidelines . The following are just some of the measures that we have taken to reduce the impact of COVID-19 in our Centre :
SOCIAL DISTANCING
- Newbridge Further Education and Training Centre will operate at a reduced capacity , with fewer numbers in our Centre and classrooms .
- Newbridge Further Education and Training Centre will be reconfigured in order to appropriately manage the movement of staff and learners throughout .
- Classrooms have been be reconfigured to ensure that learners are spaced the appropriate distance apart , as per HSE social distancing .
CLEANING , HYGIENE & PPE - The Centre will undergo regular cleaning each day in order to guarantee the safety of our staff and learners .
- The Centre will be equipped with the appropriate PPE and hygiene equipment to facilitate staff and learners to practice the appropriate hygiene etiquette .
- The Centre will now display the appropriate signage to remind staff and learners about the measures they can take to prevent the spread of COVID-19 .
ONLINE & BLENDED LEARNING APPROACH
- QQI Level 4 , 5 & 6 courses will be provided via a blend of face-to-face and online learning for the 2020 / 2021 academic year .
- Newbridge Further Education and Training Centre will provide learners with an introduction to online learning at the beginning of their course , as well as ongoing supports throughout the academic year . - Assessments , where appropriate , may also be conducted online .
