JOHN DOAR TRAIL
This downtown walking trail near the iconic Mill Pond chronicles the extraordinary life of one of New Richmond ' s most prolific residents. John Doar, a lawyer who worked in the U. S. Justice Department during many of the Civil Rights Movement ' s most historic events, grew up just a few blocks from the trail that honors him. Learn about his early life in New Richmond, and an incredible career that culminated with an Presidential Medal of Freedom Award at the White House.
WHISPERING HILLS DISC GOLF COURSE 1935 115th St. / New Richmond, WI 54017
The new 18 hole disc course is now open in New Richmond. The Whispering Hills Disc Golf Course is a gold championship course covering 35 beautiful acres of hills, valleys, fields, woods, and ponds. The course features 36 concrete tee pads and 2 basket pin placements on each hole. The course can be played four different ways, with the championship course playing 9000ft and the shortest course 4700ft. The longest hole is 1200ft. There is no charge for playing the course, but free will donations will be accepted for course up keep.
