A special thanks to the coaches of the Colts Under 20’s, Craig, Bill and manager Mike. It
is hard to start a team from scratch and this team could have gone either way mid season after
some losses and a couple of players left. It was a credit to you guys and the character of
the players who hung in there, not just in staying together, but to string together 9 wins in a
row. Awesome!
Thanks to Shaun Murphy for coaching and driving the girls all over town so they could
play rugby and be part of our club. We see this as a potential growth area and are looking for
more numbers for next year.
Lastly our organisation is functioning very well as a whole with good people throughout
the club performing their roles expertly. Talking to school leavers now, they see our club as
one of the top clubs in Canterbury and with a very high profile. The improvement with our
Colts teams and ambition for them to pathway through to a quality Division 1 side holds us in
good stead both now and looking forward. Needless to say we will not be resting on our
laurels and will continue to work hard and make improvements when required to attain
success.
