FROM THE DESIGNERS:“ In the heart of Warren’ s bustling waterfront historic district, this newly constructed landscape creates a richly detailed and highly usable outdoor environment for a young active family. Once dominated by a mature beech tree lost to disease, this side yard had been underutilized and disconnected from daily life. The new design reactivates the space with thoughtfully proportioned terraces, stone walkways and lush garden rooms that invite movement, gathering and reflection. A natural cleft bluestone terrace now anchors the backyard, offering space to grill, dine and entertain. Layered planting beds provide seasonal interest and softness, while a small sitting area at the edge of the garden frames views to the street and surrounding historic fabric. Blending form and function, this compact garden balances privacy and openness, creating an intimate retreat that feels grounded in its architectural context and lively neighborhood setting.
