Research projects will seek understanding of what enhances or disrupts ecological health . Regularly monitoring these elements will lead to corrective actions . Continued research , along with cooperation among all Island entities , plays a role in what is often described as the existential threat , sea level rise . Mitigating the impacts of flooding are the focus of study .
The Strategic Plan recognizes that cooperation of all entities in managing the Island will be essential for success by 2030 . The effort will be to encourage the establishment of shared goals for a healthy ecosystem since we are all clearly interdependent .
